TOMATO SHERVA

Sherva,the name reminds the hyderabadi nawab style taste.every rice item is a great combination of this recipe.so this is my own tested recipe which i would like to share with u all today.
MAIN INGRIDIENTS

  • Boiled tomatoes-3
  • fried brown onion-1 /2 a onion
  • moghlai garam masala powder-1/4 teaspoon
  • finely beaten curd-2 tablespoons
  • chili powder-1/4 teaspoon
  • salt-to taste
  • oil-for tempering
  • ginger garlic paste-1 teaspoon

METHOD:

peel the skin of tomatoes and grind to a puree,strain it,and keep a side

grind the fried onions along with curd to a fine paste

to make moghlai garam masala dry roast 2cloves,5pepper,1 small stick of cinnamon,2 cardamoms.cool it and make to a fine powder.

now take a pan,add oil,when oil starts heating,add ginger garlic paste and saute it well,now add onin paste,fry well when a nice aroma comes, add tomato puree little water,when it starts boiling add red chili powder,salt,garam masala powder,red food colour.

its a great side dish served along with fried rices and any kind of pulav's and biryani's.

NOTE:this is the basic form of sherva,u can cook according to your own style.
